3 weeks and walking

Well, the puppies are now 3 weeks old and growing well. They are so so so cute. They are super friendly and don't care if the kids pick them up. They love to be held. The kids play with them often. Hopefully they won't be too attached. We keep telling them that they are going to other homes, so there won't be a surprise come March 15th, when the puppies are old enough to go to their permanent homes. This past weekend, I sent away for their papers, so they should be here soon. All the puppies are AKC eligible. The new owners don't have to paper them, but we want to give them that option. They also started to sort of eat puppy food. When we feed Jetta, they all surround the bowl and try to eat as well. Jetta will take food into her mouth and chew it up and spit it back out for them when she is done eating.

By the looks of it right now, they look like they are all going to be the rare black and silver color German Shepherds. But, that can change. None of Jetta's siblings got color right away, but all of ours are pretty light and have a lot of color. I guess we will have to wait and see......All five puppies. Jedi, Oreo, Dragon, Double Stuff, and the unnamed puppy.

This is Aiden holding "Dragon". He is the middle size boy puppy.

Ari holding "Oreo". Oreo's real new name is Lexi, but she says she is still calling her Oreo. She is the smallest puppy. Oreo/Lexi likes to kiss Ari. She kept licking her all over her face, so Ari had to take another shower after the puppies went to bed.

This is Noah playing with "Jedi". He is the smallest boy.

Jinelle holding Double Stuff. He is still the biggest, but he is so dang cute. He is so fluffy and fat that you can't help but love the little guy.

We started putting collars on them, but they can get them off. They just velcro on. We will use them to identify the puppies as people pick them out, plus we will most likely write on their bellies as well (So when the collars do come off, we can still tell them apart). So far, the kids can tell them all apart without them, but it is easier to me to say, which color and they tell me so I just grab the puppy with the color collar that they want out.
